Digawolf returns to the airwaves with Trapline, a raw addition to his body of work. Trapline is a collection of memories from childhood to the adult life of a Tlicho man exploring new worlds. The album has a live-off-the-floor feeling, harkening back to Digawolf’s musical influences of Tom Waits and Neil Young. He’s backed once more with guitar, drums, bass, along with contemporary Tlicho drumming weaved seamlessly throughout. The poetry is filled with untamed emotion, bringing us from the sentimental memories of youth to a place where words fail us leaving only the ability to scream in rage. A rage that is sourced from the deepest part of our nature. Trapline is an album about striving to understand the world we live in.
